Hans Peter Lüthi has been re-elected as EuChemS Treasurer during the 2025 General Assembly in Poznań, extending his mandate until 2028. With extensive experience in financial governance and a distinguished academic career in computational chemistry, he continues to play a key role in supporting EuChemS’ strategic direction.

The European Chemical Society (EuChemS) congratulates Wolfram Koch on his election as President-Elect during the 2025 EuChemS General Assembly in Poznań, Poland. A distinguished chemist and long-time contributor to EuChemS and GDCh, Professor Koch brings decades of experience in theoretical chemistry and scientific leadership. He will officially assume the role of President on 1 January 2027, guiding EuChemS in its mission to strengthen collaboration and innovation across Europe’s chemical community.

The 2025 EuChemS General Assembly took place in Poznań, Poland, bringing together Member Societies, Executive Board members, and Professional Networks to discuss key developments. Wolfram Koch was elected President-Elect, and updates on ECC10 Congress were shared.

EuChemS announces the 2025 Awards celebrating excellence in European chemistry, including innovation, service, lectures, and historical landmarks. Nominations open 8 September 2025.

The 2024 EuChemS Historical Landmarks Award celebrates two sites of extraordinary scientific and cultural significance: Banská Štiavnica in Slovakia, cradle of modern chemical and metallurgical research, and the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Museum in Warsaw, dedicated to the legacy of the Nobel laureate.
