In January 2023, EuChemS responded to the Public Consultation on the revision of EU rules on food contact materials (FCMs)
The consultation’s goal was to ensure that food safety standards during food production, processing, storage, transport, preparation and serving, before its eventual consumption are up to date. It was aimed at stakeholders with some expertise and knowledge on FCMs and legislation. The EuChemS Division on Food Chemistry provided such expertise.
