the IASOC is organized every second year by the University of Naples Federico II. It gathers together leading scientists of the highest international reputation to provide an overview of the latest advances in the various fields of organic chemistry. Although the main role is educational, the IASOC is well known for providing a meeting ground for young scientists and PhD students who are willing to interact with leading experts in the field of organic chemistry.
The leading theme of the 2024 Edition of the School, “Organic Synthesis. The Best Is Yet to Come”, encompasses growing and highly stimulating areas of research, including organic synthesis and catalysis, bioorganic chemistry, and medicinal chemistry. The most exciting topics relating to the main theme of the 2024 Edition will be presented and discussed along with current trends and future perspectives.
The scientific programme will develop over a five-day format and will consist of a number of lectures delivered by world-class experts in these disciplines (from both academia and industry). Other planned activities include poster sessions, workshops and open sessions (where some of the junior participants are invited to present their research as short oral communications). The number of attendees is about 120, from both academic institutions and companies.
