Annette Lykknes, Chair of the EuChemS Division of the History of Chemistry, received the 2026 Joseph B. Lambert HIST Award for Outstanding Achievement in the History of Chemistry on 25 August during the ACS Fall Meeting in Chicago.
Based at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), she works at the intersection of the history of science, chemistry education, and the role of chemistry in society. Her research includes women in science, the periodic table, and professional identities. She is also Editor-in-Chief of Ambix.
The award recognises her scholarly achievements and leadership in advancing the history of chemistry.
