GDPR – new administrative measures at EuChemS

After a two-year transition period, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) approved on 14 April 2016 comes into force on 25 May 2018. The regulation, aimed at harmonising the right to data protection and privacy within the EU, provides a comprehensive legal framework for processing personal data. It also addresses the exportation of personal data outside the EU. The GDPR replaces Directive 95/46/EC.
