Three new members elected to the EuChemS Executive Board

During the 2025 EuChemS General Assembly, held this October in Poznań, Poland, three distinguished professionals in the chemical sciences community were elected as new members of the EuChemS Executive Board. Their mandate will begin in January 2026.
Gianluca Maria Farinola
Full Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Bari Aldo Moro, Gianluca Farinola is recognised for his work on photo- and electroactive molecules, supramolecular structures, and sustainable materials. He currently serves as President of the Italian Chemical Society.
Sonsoles Martín-Santamaría
A scientific researcher at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Sonsoles Martín-Santamaría leads the Computational Chemical Biology Group, focusing on molecular modelling and recognition processes relevant to immunity, infection, and therapeutic development.
Gill Reid
Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Southampton, Gill Reid has an extensive academic track record and has held significant leadership roles, including serving as President of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
