EuChemS Award for Service 2025

EuChemS is pleased to announce the laureates of the EuChemS Award for Service: Professor Artur Manuel Soares da Silva and Professor Slavica Ražić.

The EuChemS Award for Service acknowledges outstanding commitment to fostering Chemistry in Europe and advancing the goals of EuChemS. Professor Artur Silva, Full Professor and Vice-Rector at the University of Aveiro, has served for many years as Portuguese representative in the Organic Chemistry Division and as a member of the EuChemS Executive Board (2017–2024), significantly strengthening cooperation among European chemical societies and contributing to the visibility and impact of chemistry in Europe. He also acted as Local Chair of the 8th EuChemS Chemistry Congress (Lisbon, 2022).

Professor Slavica Ražić, Professor at the University of Belgrade, has been deeply engaged in EuChemS activities for over two decades. She served as Chair of the Division of Analytical Chemistry (2017–2022) and as a member of the EuChemS Executive Board (2021–2025), actively promoting collaboration among Professional Networks and contributing to the Task Group on Inclusion and Diversity. She also organised the DAC flagship conference Euroanalysis XVI (Belgrade, 2011).

The awards will be presented at the 10th EuChemS Chemistry Congress in Antwerp.
