This survey investigates the current employment situation for chemists and chemical engineers across Europe. Your participation will contribute to the acquisition of quantitative data about job market needs, thus facilitating successful careers for the graduates.
The full report of the preceding Employment Survey for European Chemists is freely available from Chemistry – A European Journal 21 (2015) 9921–9935 (DOI: 10.1002/chem.201501364). The current ESEC2 is jointly organized with the American Chemical Society.
ESEC2 is supported by the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic). It is executed by the European Chemistry Thematic Network Association (ECTN) and by the European Association for Chemical and Molecular Sciences.
Participation in this survey is free for all chemists and chemical engineers. Most of you have been invited to participate by your National Chemical Society. No personal data have been disclosed. Please complete all fields of the short questionnaire. All your responses are collected anonymously. No changes are possible after you pressed the submission button, i.e. no re-entry to an incompletely filled questionnaire is allowed.
If you want to receive a personal copy of the report, in particular on the results of salaries, you may submit an e-mail address after you have submitted your results. This e-mail address will be stored in a separate file and cannot be related to the responses submitted.
This questionnaire was developed in English. Some National Chemical Societies decided to translate it into their respective languages. The content of all language versions is identical. You may freely choose your preferred language. In order to avoid incompatibility between various national terms (programmes, certificates, degrees) we use international classification (UNESCO, EU).
