Brussels News Update - September 2021

Hey, welcome to the Brussels News Updates (BNU), EuChemS’ newsletter for policy makers, chemists, entrepreneurs, and citizens who have an interest in chemistry. The BNU newsletter keeps you up to date on the latest chemistry-related and science-policy news, awards, consultations, and upcoming events in Europe and beyond.

EuChemS is pleased to announce that the calls for nominations for three major EuChemS awards are now open, as well as the call for nominations for the Members of the International Award Committee for the European Chemistry Gold Medal (IACM). And that’s not all! We are also delighted to invite you to our webinar “Good Chemistry – Do Chemists Need Ethics?” on 7 October.

This month, we travelled to Almadén in Spain, where the celebration of the unveiling of the plaque of the 2019 EuChemS Historical Landmarks took place on 15 September. In this issue of BNU, we also provide you with highlights on EuChemS participation in WiFo 2021. We also inform you about the State of the Union address, the debates around the Conference on the Future of Europe and the Horizon Europe budget cuts, and much more policy-related news!

Is there anything that you would like to read about in the next issue of the BNU? Let us know!

Is this your first BNU reading? Subscribe now to our BNU for your monthly updates!
