{"id":9202,"date":"2021-05-17T08:40:27","date_gmt":"2021-05-17T07:40:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/newsletters\/?p=9202"},"modified":"2021-05-17T13:24:36","modified_gmt":"2021-05-17T12:24:36","slug":"green-solutions-energy-sector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/newsletters\/green-solutions-energy-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"ITRE Committee on green solutions for the energy sector"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ITRE committee of the European Parliament, chaired by MEP Cristian Bu\u0219oi, met on 13 April to discuss the decarbonisation of the energy sector in view of the forthcoming official adoption of various work programmes for Horizon Europe, including the \u201cClimate, Energy and Mobility\u201d cluster.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speakers\u2019 presentations mainly revolved around green gases, blue and green hydrogen, and electrification alternatives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During this meeting, a discussion ensued on the high percentage (70%) of the current pipeline infrastructure being Hydrogen-ready that would allow the EU to meet the Green Deal\u2019s objectives while becoming a global leader in the clean energy field.
