{"id":8267,"date":"2021-02-15T09:13:52","date_gmt":"2021-02-15T08:13:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/newsletters\/?p=8267"},"modified":"2021-02-15T12:15:34","modified_gmt":"2021-02-15T11:15:34","slug":"euchems-global-womens-breakfast-gwb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/newsletters\/euchems-global-womens-breakfast-gwb\/","title":{"rendered":"First EuChemS @Global Women\u2019s Breakfast 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the occasion of the Global Women\u2019s Breakfast 2021 #GWB2021, an IUPAC initiative, the European Chemical Society (EuChemS) organised its first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/join-us-global-womens-breakfast-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">own event<\/a> on Tuesday, 9 February 2021, from 10:00 to 11:00 CET.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pilar Goya, EuChemS Vice-President, hosted and chaired a panel with an impressive line-up of speakers from the European Chemistry community who engaged with more than 150 attendees on various inclusion-related topics, including work-life balance, building professional networks and STEM education for school-age kids. The attendees were invited to ask questions and answer polls. Their feedback will be carefully considered by the EuChemS Task Group on Inclusion and Diversity, for follow up actions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Also, the LinkedIn group \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/linkedin.com\/groups\/12503396\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Chemistry Network on Inclusion and Diversity<\/a>\u201d was launched to promote inclusion, equity, and diversity in the chemical sciences. This LinkedIn group aims at connecting chemists across Europe through a European-wide network and focuses on science opportunities, discussions, news, events and jobs within the chemistry sector.
