This regulation aims at ensuring more transparency of the EU risk assessment in the food chain, increasing the independence of studies used by European Food Safety Authority (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.efsa.europa.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EFSA<\/a>), strengthening the governance and the scientific cooperation of EFSA to guarantee its long-term sustainability, and developing comprehensive risk communication.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This new regulation was developed in response to a European Citizens\u2019 Initiative on pesticides.
