Speakers including a wide range of EU officials, stakeholders and representatives from academia and industry. The EU R&amp;I Days were meant to showcase how co-designing processes would be implemented in the run-up to the launch of Horizon Europe, the next EU research framework programme. Carlos Moedas, current Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation explained his vision for Horizon Europe, and particularly the \u2018Missions\u2019, which he encouraged the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/news\/commission-announces-top-experts-shape-horizon-europe-missions-2019-jul-30_en\">newly selected chairs<\/a> to make as open, transparent and co-creative as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the event, the European Commission launched a public call for feedback on the implementation of Horizon Europe in an early exercise of co-creation. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Co-design-consultation_EuChemS-response.pdf\">You can read EuChemS\u2019 response here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 24 to 26 September, the European Commission launched the EU Research &amp;
