{"id":464,"date":"2016-05-13T11:37:43","date_gmt":"2016-05-13T10:37:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/newsletters\/?p=464"},"modified":"2016-05-13T11:38:05","modified_gmt":"2016-05-13T10:38:05","slug":"euchems-at-european-commission-delegation-to-chile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/newsletters\/euchems-at-european-commission-delegation-to-chile\/","title":{"rendered":"EuCheMS at European Commission Delegation to Chile"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following an invitation from the <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/easme\/en\/news\/circular-economy-join-eu-delegation-chile-25-26-april\">European Commission (EC) delegation<\/a>, EuCheMS took part of the EC delegation to Chile on the topic of circular economy, a delegation led by Mr Daniel Calleja, the European Commission\u2019s Director-General for Environment. Dr. Nicola Armaroli, Chair of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/divisions\/chemistry-and-energy\/\">EuCheMS Working Party on Chemistry and Energy<\/a>, was EuCheMS\u00b4 representative at this mission that took place on 25 \u2013 26 April 2016.<br \/>\nThe key target of the Mission was to foster cooperation between EU and Chile companies in promoting sustainability through circular approaches. Chile\u00b4s main economical assets (agriculture, with the production of a large array of high quality products; mineral resources, particularly copper and lithium; and fish resources) are at risk under a traditional linear economic system, a factor that made this country a natural partner on this topic.
