{"id":4238,"date":"2018-03-15T10:32:46","date_gmt":"2018-03-15T09:32:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/newsletters\/?p=4238"},"modified":"2018-03-15T11:18:47","modified_gmt":"2018-03-15T10:18:47","slug":"4238-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/newsletters\/4238-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Public consultation on EU rules for products used in the construction of buildings and infrastructure works"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The European Commission is consulting on the EU rules for products used in the construction of buildings and infrastructure works.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/growth\/sectors\/construction\/product-regulation_en\">The Construction Products Regulation<\/a> (CPR) aims to make the single market work for products used in the construction of buildings and infrastructure. However, a number of sources have identified issues affecting the functioning of the CPR (such as the need for clarification regarding simplification provisions, limited evidence of uptake of simplification provisions\/lighter regimes by micro enterprises, the link with Regulation 1025\/2012 on standardisation and mandatory use of standards in the CPR, and more).<\/p>\n<p>This public consultation aims to give all interested citizens and stakeholders the opportunity to contribute to the exercise and give their views on key issues relevant for the evaluation and impact assessment.\u00a0 In providing this opportunity, this consultation supplements previous, more targeted consultations of stakeholders.
