{"id":3348,"date":"2017-10-16T10:55:59","date_gmt":"2017-10-16T09:55:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/newsletters\/?p=3348"},"modified":"2017-10-16T10:55:59","modified_gmt":"2017-10-16T09:55:59","slug":"western-balkans-research-foundation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/newsletters\/western-balkans-research-foundation\/","title":{"rendered":"Western Balkans Research Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following the recommendation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/wbc-rti.info\/object\/document\/16368\/attach\/3jsc-wbp_joint_statement_final.pdf\">\u201cJoint Science Conference\u201d<\/a>, which was jointly organised by the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and the French Acad\u00e9mie des sciences, the Heads of State and Government decided at the <a href=\"https:\/\/wbc-rti.info\/object\/news\/16399\">Western Balkans Conference on 12 July in Trieste, Italy,<\/a> to establish a foundation to support junior scientists at scientific institutions in the Balkans, the Western Balkans Research Foundation. This foundation is designed to enable outstanding junior scientists from the Balkans and from Europe to build up excellent research labs and teams in the Balkan countries within a period of five years through <em>ad personam<\/em> grants, enjoying grant portability.
