{"id":14692,"date":"2022-05-13T12:02:23","date_gmt":"2022-05-13T11:02:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/newsletters\/?p=14692"},"modified":"2022-05-13T12:06:45","modified_gmt":"2022-05-13T11:06:45","slug":"policy-advisory-activities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/newsletters\/policy-advisory-activities\/","title":{"rendered":"EuChemS continues policy advisory activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\">EuChemS continues to carry out its policy activities by contributing to the high-level European Commission initiatives it was invited to.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">On 25 April, EuChemS Secretary-General Nineta Hrastelj represented the organisation on the second meeting of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/communication\/science-policy-advice\/zero-pollution-stakeholder-platform\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zero Pollution Stakeholder Platform<\/a>. This platform aims to gather stakeholders from various areas to assist in achieving the Commission\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/environment\/strategy\/zero-pollution-action-plan_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zero Pollution Ambition<\/a>. The meeting consisted of a discussion between Commision Directorate General for Health &amp; Food Safety (DG SANTE), Directorate-General for Environment (DG ENV), the European Committee of the Regions (ECR) and the representatives of the platform.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">On 18 May, EuChemS president Floris Rutjes will take part in the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> meeting of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/communication\/chemicals-strategy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the High Level Roundtable on the implementation of the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability<\/a> on behalf of EuChemS. This roundtable is focused on exchanging views between different stakeholders, and drafting policy recommendations to achieve a toxic-free environment.
