{"id":1266,"date":"2016-11-16T11:17:25","date_gmt":"2016-11-16T10:17:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/newsletters\/?p=1266"},"modified":"2016-11-16T11:17:25","modified_gmt":"2016-11-16T10:17:25","slug":"new-action-plan-on-antimicrobial-resistance-amr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.euchems.eu\/newsletters\/new-action-plan-on-antimicrobial-resistance-amr\/","title":{"rendered":"New Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The EU Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Vytenis Andriukaitis confirmed the renewed commitment in tackling antimicrobial resistance (AMR) that is one of the biggest health threats facing humanity today.<br \/>\nThe new Action Plan will take the form of a Commission communication to the European Parliament and the Council and builds on the previous plan that is coming to an end in 2016.\u00a0 The evaluation of the 2011-2016 Action Plan shows that there is clear added value that the EU can bring to tackle the AMR challenge.\u00a0 The new Action Plan will focus on supporting Member States, particularly in establishing, implementing and monitoring their National Action Plans and strengthening its leading global role.
