Floris Rutjes, EuChemS President, welcomed with an opening speech the 177 attendees from 31 different countries who participated in this online event.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cEuChemS seeks to stimulate chemical education\u00a0and\u00a0aims to contribute to an integral education of students as important future enactors of progress and influential decision-makers in academia, industry, and the public sphere.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">&#8211; <em>Floris Rutjes, EuChemS President,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Opening speech of the webinar \u2018Good Chemistry \u2013 Do Chemists Need Ethics?\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During this interactive webinar, Dr. Jan Mehlich invited the attendees to reflect on the role of ethics in the chemical sciences through various examples and case studies.
