Why to attend?

The 9th European Variety in University Chemistry Education will be hosted by University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Education in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Bringing together

The conference, run under the auspices of the EuCheMS Division of Chemical Education, is a European counterpart of the UK conference "Variety in Chemistry Education" and is devoted to practical aspects of chemical education at tertiary level (general and vocational higher education institutions, HEIs), at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The conference brings together chemistry lecturers and educational professionals to improve understanding of chemistry teaching and learning.

Sharing

The conference will enable chemistry lecturers and educational professionals to share and showcase best practice in the field, and network across the community. We encourage participants from all levels, from those working in the field of chemistry education research, to practicing educators and doctoral students involved in teaching and research to join us and present their own impressions and conclusions gained during their teaching experiences.

Important topics

The conference will cover the whole range of interesting topics: COVID-19 and teaching and learning chemistry at university level, innovative approaches in chemistry teaching at university level, application of ICT in tertiary chemistry education, mentoring chemistry students, developing competencies of primary and secondary school chemistry pre-service teachers, in-service chemistry teachers and professional development programmes at university level and much more.
