Brussels News Update - May 2020

Hello and welcome to the May edition of the Brussels News Updates, the monthly EuChemS newsletter keeping you up to date on the latest Chemistry related science-policy issues, news and upcoming events and awards.

As announced earlier in May, the 8th EuChemS Chemistry Congress is postponed to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The current health crisis affects our lives, countries, and Chemistry is no exception: the Horizon 2020 budget has been reprioritised and new scientific online platforms are being implemented. This month, we also look back at our participation in the #EUvsVirus Hackathon, organised by the European Commission.

You are invited to read on more below for the latest news on Chemistry in Europe impacting our lives.
