DESCRIPTION:The Wine Active Compounds (WAC) conference and the In Vino Anal
 ytica Scientia (IVAS) symposium will become a joint conference in 2026. Th
 e IVAS symposium provides a forum for researchers to present advanced rese
 arch on the analytical science of grapes\, wine\, and spirits\, while WAC 
 promotes interdisciplinary studies that consider active compounds in the e
 xperimental and human/social sciences of vine and wine.\nThe WAC-IVAS conf
 erence sessions will include:\n1. Chemical reactions in wine (stability\, 
 aroma\, aging)\n2. Nontargeted analysis and chemometrics.\n3. Chemical ana
 lysis of grapes\, wines\, spirits\, and by-products.\n4. Biotechnology\, m
 icrobiology and genetic approaches towards better grape and wine quality.\
 n5. Sensory analysis\, wine styles and consumer perceptions.\n6. Innovatio
 ns in viticulture and enology in the face of societal\, environmental and 
 economic challenges.\nThis will be the 14th instalment of IVAS and the 7th
  instalment of WAC.
