SUMMARY:ECTN Teaching and Learning in STEM Summer Schools: “Question-Driv
 en Learning in STEM” Summer School 2026
DESCRIPTION:Many lecturers in Chemistry and other STEM disciplines (STEM = 
 Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, and Mathematics) are still hesitant t
 o adopt active learning approaches\, such as questioning techniques and co
 llaborative learning\, even though these approaches are already widely acc
 epted as educational goals at many universities. The “Question-Driven Le
 arning in STEM” Summer School will equip participants with the knowledge
  and skills to confidently teach using questioning techniques\, effectivel
 y support collaborative learning among students\, and implement teaching a
 nd learning methods such as POGIL and SCALE-UP.\nFollowing its great succe
 ss last year\, this Summer School in the “Teaching and Learning in Highe
 r Education STEM” series is being organized by the ECTN Eurolecturer Aca
 demy for the second time. The Summer School is a pre-event of the ECTN Gen
 eral Assembly and therefore a special opportunity for ECTN delegates to at
 tend two events in one trip.\nThe “Question-Driven Learning in STEM” S
 ummer School offers a range of inspiring workshops\, collaborative group s
 essions\, and in-depth discussions at both course and curriculum level. Se
 ssions include\, among others\, “Active learning through questioning: wh
 at or why?” and “Diversity and inclusion in question-driven learning
