DESCRIPTION:The ChemCH conferences have been organised biannually since 201
 0\, initiated by the EuChemS Working Party on Chemistry for Cultural Herit
 age. With the overarching theme of Chemistry for Cultural Heritage\, the c
 onferences promote chemical sciences in the field of understanding\, conse
 rvation and use of cultural heritage\, which includes all typologies of he
 ritage: objects\, buildings\, landscapes etc. The main objective is to und
 erstand the materiality of cultural heritage\, its environment and use. Ad
 vances in research methodologies\, instrumentation and contemporary comput
 ational approaches have significantly improved our ability to understand t
 he properties and composition of heritage and archaeological materials\, h
 ow they respond to their environment or treatments\, and how they change w
 ith time. Equally important is the interpretation and visualisation of dat
 a using data-intensive approaches and AI. Chemistry for Cultural Heritage 
 promotes highly interdisciplinary research informed and guided by the need
 s of the heritage sector.
