DESCRIPTION:The 13th International Vanadium Symposium is an interdisciplina
 ry event that aims to gather researchers from the vanadium research commun
 ity to showcase their latest findings on topics such as coordination chemi
 stry\, bioinorganic chemistry\, medicinal chemistry\, catalysis\, green ch
 emistry\, toxicology\, environmental and occupational chemistry\, material
 s sciences and energy storage\, among many other important topics.\n\nNew 
 vanadium compounds and new advances in its bioinorganic chemistry\, includ
 ing applications in enzymology\, toxicology and as metallodrugs\, highligh
 t the increasing relevance of this metal ion in medicinal chemistry and gi
 ve insight on its beneficial health effects. In addition\, vanadium is rec
 ognized as an important metal in industrial processes\, such as in oxidati
 on catalysis and steel production\, and more recently it’s becoming incr
 easingly relevant in the development of new materials as\, for instance\, 
 in energy storage and solar cells.
