Brussels News Update - April 2021

Hey, welcome to the Brussels News Updates (BNU), EuChemS’ newsletter for policy makers, chemists, entrepreneurs and citizens who have an interest in chemistry. The BNU newsletter keeps you up to date on the latest chemistry-related and science-policy news, awards, consultations and upcoming events in Europe and beyond.

We are delighted to release the complete programme of our upcoming webinar ‘The Carbon element – Key towards a sustainable society’. You are all kindly invited to join us online on Thursday 22 April. This month, carbon was not the only element that monopolised EuChemS science-policy activities: we also answered to the Public Consultation of the European Commission on Mercury.

In this issue, you will also find news about the new Open Research Europe publishing platform, EFSA-related updates and information about the EU Chemicals strategy for sustainability. We also bring you the news about the ENVI committee recommendations on the pesticides ban in the EU and the inauguration of the UNESCO’s International Research Centre on Artificial Intelligence (IRCAI).

Is there anything that you would like to read about in the next issue of the BNU? Let us know!

Is this your first BNU reading? Subscribe now to our BNU for your monthly updates!
