With the support of experts from its member societies, EuCheMS has identified five key areas that should be priorities in the EU Research Framework Programme 8: Breakthrough Science, Food, Energy, Health and Resource Efficiency. There is a clear overlap with the ‘Grand Challenges’ identified in the Lund Declaration.

Over recent months EuCheMS, together with its divisions, has been developing a ‘roadmap for the chemical sciences’, to identify the critical areas where gaps in knowledge are limiting technological progress and where the chemical sciences have a role to play in bridging these gaps. EuCheMS is now pleased to be in the position to publish the final document.
