School on “Chirality: from biology to pharmaceuticals and nanomaterials”

Dear Friends,
It is our great pleasure announce the first edition of School on “Chirality: from biology to pharmaceuticals and nanomaterials”, which will be held in the magnificent scenario of Lipari, in the Aeolian Islands from 28 July to 3 August 2024.
The School will be dedicated to the introduction (the origin of molecular and supramolecular chirality and their experimental determination) and in-depth analysis of both theoretical and experimental topics and is dedicated to both simple listeners and doctoral students. Therefore, the School plays the twofold role of congress and school: a place of meeting and discussion between different generations of researchers. The event will be characterized by a very informal and relaxing atmosphere with lessons in the morning and terrace/poolside discussions in the afternoon, plus two social tours to the Aeolian Islands (one tour includes social dinner + dancing).
The headquarters of the School will be the Hotel Giardino sul mare (http://www.giardinosulmare.it/).
Early registration applications can be submitted up to April 30th, 2024. Late registrations will be accepted up to June 21st, 2024.

ELRIG THERAPEUTIC OLIGO AND EUROPEAN CHEMICAL BIOLOGY SYMPOSIUM 2023 (ELRIG/ECBS 2023)

The inaugural ELRIG meeting on Therapeutic OLIGOs combined with the 8th European Chemical Biology Symposium (ECBS) will be held on May 9-11 at the beautiful AstraZeneca R&D site in Gothenburg. This interactive 3-day event will host leading scientists from academia, industry and the vendor community to discuss recent advancements in the discovery of therapeutic OLIGOs and in the Chemical Biology research field in Europe and internationally. The ECBS part of the meeting is co-organized by EU-OPENSCREEN and the EuChemS Division of Chemistry in Life Sciences, and includes contributions from key academic chemical biology research groups in Europe. Our ambition is to create an open access meeting and an inspiring environment for networking between biologists and chemists to fuel cross-fertilisation between research areas.

YOUNG INVESTIGATOR WORKSHOP OF THE EUCHEMS – DIVISION OF CHEMISTRY IN LIFE SCIENCES (YIW2023)

After the success of the first two editions in 2021 (Wien virtual), and 2022 (Lisbon), we are pleased to announce the celebration of the 3rd Young Investigator Workshop of the EuChemS Chemistry – Division of Chemistry in Life Sciences.
The meeting will take place at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Biocenter 2, University of Helsinki, Finland on 12-13 May 2023.
The YIW will be composed by young investigators chosen from researchers nominated by the EuChemS member chemical societies.

7th ECBS/LS-EuChemS meeting & Satellite Young Researchers LS-EuChemS Symposium

This ocassion will bring together the 7th European Chemical Biology Symposium and the meeting of the EuChemS Division “Chemistry in Life Sciences” (LS-EuChemS) and it will be jointly organized by EuChemS and EU-OPENSCREEN. Also, a satellite meeting for young researchers will be organized in Vienna.

6th ECBS/LS-EuChemS meeting (EuChemS recognized event)
3-5 April 2019, CSIC, Madrid, Spain.
This ocassion brings together the 6th European Chemical Biology Symposium and the meeting of the EuChemS Division “Chemistry in Life Sciences” (LS-EuChemS) and it is jointly organized by EuChemS and EU-OPENSCREEN. This meeting builds on the success of 4thICBS/ECBS joint meeting in Berlin (2015) and 5th ECBS in Budapest (2017). Partners: European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry and the International Chemical Biology Society.
